DesertBoard Achieves Prestigious Abu Dhabi QCC Certificate of Conformity.

DesertBoard is proud to announce that it has been officially awarded the Certificate of Conformity by the Abu Dhabi Quality & Conformity Council (QCC), the UAE’s leading governmental authority based in Masdar City. This recognition underscores DesertBoard’s commitment to quality, compliance, and innovation in the region’s sustainable building materials sector.

The certification strengthens DesertBoard’s credibility across governmental, semi-governmental, and international projects, while reinforcing its pioneering role in sustainability and eco-conscious innovation. With this milestone, Palm Strand Board (PSB®), the region’s most sustainable engineered wooden board made from upcycled palm fronds, is positioned for broader adoption in projects where QCC approval is a key requirement.

Since its inception, DesertBoard has consistently championed environmental responsibility, transforming the abundant biomass of date palm fronds into high-performance, zero-formaldehyde building boards. With a production facility of size 55,000 sqm, DesertBoard not only provides innovative solutions for engineering and construction, landscape, interior design and events & exhibitions but also contributes meaningfully to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting a circular economy, and supporting the UAE’s sustainability goals.

“Receiving the QCC Certificate of Conformity is a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, and industry-leading innovation,” said Kamal Farah, Director, DesertBoard. “This recognition allows us to showcase PSB® as a trusted, high-performance, and eco-friendly solution for sustainable construction across the UAE and beyond.”

With this achievement, DesertBoard continues to drive the adoption of eco-friendly construction materials, setting benchmarks for compliance, sustainability, and high-performance building solutions.
