DesertBoard successfully concluded its participation at Dubai WoodShow 2026, held as one of the region’s leading exhibitions for the wood, furniture, and woodworking machinery industry in the MENA region. The event brought together 784 exhibitors across 12 country pavilions and attracted 17,830 visitors from 140 countries, reinforcing its position as a global platform for material innovation and industry collaboration.
Across the three-day exhibition, DesertBoard presented its flagship innovation—Palm Strand Board (PSB®)—to a highly engaged audience of architects, designers, developers, contractors, and industry professionals. The company highlighted PSB® as a sustainable, high-performance building material engineered from locally sourced palm fronds, designed to support the evolving needs of the construction and interiors sector.
The material’s versatility and application potential were demonstrated across multiple use cases, including interior fit-outs, joinery, furniture manufacturing, and architectural surface solutions. With its zero-formaldehyde composition and carbon-negative profile, PSB® continues to position itself as a future-ready alternative aligned with sustainability-driven construction practices in the region.
A key highlight of the event was a presentation delivered by Mr. Kamal Farah, Director at DesertBoard, titled “Building Industrial Resilience: How Local Manufacturing Strengthens Supply Chains, Supports Make It in the Emirates Initiatives, and Drives ICV Value Creation.” The session underscored the strategic importance of localized production in strengthening regional supply chains and enhancing long-term industrial value creation. It also sparked meaningful discussions with industry stakeholders on the role of manufacturing ecosystems in advancing resilience and sustainability within the built environment.
Throughout the exhibition, DesertBoard’s product line and material innovations drew significant interest, with visitors engaging in discussions around performance characteristics, sustainable sourcing, and practical implementation across diverse project typologies. The engagement reflected growing industry demand for locally produced, environmentally responsible building materials that do not compromise on strength, durability, or design flexibility.
On the final day, DesertBoard expressed its appreciation to all visitors, partners, and industry professionals who engaged with the team over the course of the event. DesertBoard extended gratitude for the meaningful conversations and insights shared around sustainable building material innovation and the future of construction practices.
DesertBoard’s participation at Dubai WoodShow 2026 reinforced its commitment to advancing sustainable material solutions and strengthening regional manufacturing capabilities, while continuing to expand the application potential of Palm Strand Board (PSB®) across the built environment.
